I had these great aspirations when I started the blog clean about sharing everything that I am doing. Well I can’t, it seems that like I already knew building a business is a lot of work and I simply don’t have time to do a lot of posting. That said I will be post short notes now that I have the WordPress app on my BB and links to anything interesting that I come across.
If you do have direct questions about what I am doing, or for some advice leave a comment and I will make a point to create a post just for that.

I saw this the other night in a bathroom at a local University. I immediately realized that everything that I am noticing about “adults” between the ages of 19 and 25 made sense. ”Adult” between 40 and 55 believe they are idiots, and therefore they act like idiots.
If you are smart enough to be in a university program you are smart enough to realize that proper manners state that you should cover your mouth when you cough to prevent the spread of your cold.
And by the way, don’t talk with your mouth full.
I am guessing it is from the time you order, not that I may be in line for 15 minutes.

I found out about the Wordoess app for Blackberry this weekend and thought it would be a great way to start pumping my ideas to the site.
I have a personal site that I am going to start professional-izing so this is going to be where I start posting random thoughts.
With “features” in WordPress I can customize the look of every post depending on what I am saying, something like tumblr but still owned by me. The Blackberry app doesn’t have this function yet but I am sure II is coming soon.
So get prepared for a lot of randomness.

Every week I will post the better articles that I have come across while doing research, surfing, or otherwise wasting time.
Over the Christmas holidays I bought myself an iPad. The tech guy in my told me not to, or at least to wait until 2.0, but the child in me said that I had waited long enough. So I got the cheapest version there is at the Halifax MacStore and proceeded to figure out what it is good for.
I haven’t quite figured that out, but what I have spent the most time do with it is reading Kindle books on it. People have said online that reading from the iPad for hours starts to give them eyestrain, I have a matte screen cover and I think that helps the eye strain issue a lot. I have done more recreational reading in the last couple of months than I had in all of 2010, for that I strike the iPad as a success.
But really that is not why I am writing this post. I am writing to recommend the latest in my recreational reading, Lost Vegas: The Redneck Riviera, Existentialist Conversations with Strippers, and the World Series of Poker. This book was a very entertaining read following a writer during his escapades during a few years of covering the World Series of Poker (WSOP). Dr. Pauly (as he is referred to in almost every article I have read) goes underneath the Disney Vegas, and gets to the real Vegas. The parts of Vegas the marketers and tour operators want to pretend doesn’t exist.
I have been following Dr. Pauly on his blog the Tao of Poker for a number of years and remember seeing glimpses of what he gets up to while in Vegas. I was excited to finally get a chance to get the book, and even more excited when it came on the Kindle. (I am trying to limit the stuff I have in the apartment)
At the moment I am too distracted to complete a full review of the book, however when it was released there was a number done by much more eloquent writers than myself. You can find them at Tao of Poker.
Here we go again!
I am back and in the game. I left this site for about a year, and then cleared it. I am now getting back into the swing of things and am going to be ramping up the posting. I will be using the site to document my success and more importantly my failures as I build myself my own little empire.
I am starting from scratch, the majority of my big earning sites have died, sandboxed, or left to expire. The only advantage that I have over someone just starting out of the gate is that it is not my first time trying this. However, there have been a lot of changes in the last year that I haven’t been following, and a lot of new tools that other web entrepreneurs are using to succeed.
The posting schedule hasn’t been developed yet, but I will be using February to plan out my moves and then start the implementation hard in March. During the same time I will be working a full-time job and studying for my Fundamentals Exam for engineering.
Some of the categories that I will be posting about will be reviews of some of the products that I use, books/ebooks that I have found useful, my work flow and possibly my financial success/failures.
Please comment if there is something that you would like for me to talk about, or if you have any questions.
Cheers,
Jeff M
